Matilda im Rampenlicht

Diese Zeitung beleuchtet den «Matilda-Effekt», der die unsichtbare Arbeit von Frauen in Wissenschaft und Forschung thematisiert. Ich habe über 600 Forscherinnen, Mathematikerinnen, Erfinderinnen und Philosophinnen dokumentiert, die davon betroffen waren oder sind. Mein Ziel ist es, ihre Namen bekannt zu machen, damit ihre Beiträge die Anerkennung erhalten, die ihnen zusteht. Mit Porträts habe ich die 608 Frauen dargestellt, um zu zeigen, wie oft ihre Leistung übersehen wurde, obwohl sie im Hintergrund Grosses geleistet haben.

This newspaper sheds light on the “Matilda effect”, which focuses on the invisible work of women in science and research. I have documented over 600 female researchers, mathematicians, inventors and philosophers who have been or are affected by this. My aim is to make their names known so that their contributions receive the recognition they deserve. I have portrayed the 608 women in portraits to show how often their achievements have been overlooked, even though they have achieved great things in the background.

Ce journal met en lumière « l'effet Matilda », qui traite du travail invisible des femmes dans la science et la recherche. J'ai documenté plus de 600 chercheuses, mathématiciennes, inventeurs et philosophes qui ont été ou sont concernés par cet effet. Mon objectif est de faire connaître leurs noms afin que leurs contributions reçoivent la reconnaissance qu'elles méritent. J'ai représenté ces 608 femmes par des portraits, afin de montrer à quel point leur contribution a souvent été négligée, alors qu'elles ont accompli de grandes choses dans l'ombre.

Este jornal explora o “Efeito Matilda”, que aborda o trabalho invisível das mulheres na ciência e na investigação. Documentei mais de 600 pesquisadoras, matemáticas, inventoras e filósofas que foram ou são afetadas por este fenómeno. O meu objetivo é dar a conhecer os seus nomes, para que as suas contribuições recebam o reconhecimento que merecem. Com retratos, representei as 608 mulheres, mostrando como frequentemente as suas conquistas foram ignoradas, apesar de terem realizado grandes feitos nos bastidores.
